Sacramento, CA (February 9, 2024) - Mayor Darrell Steinberg and his staff members have been actively working to support District 2 in the mayor’s new role as interim representative for the district, including holding five listening sessions so far with community residents to understand their concerns and discuss ways to work together to move the district forward.

On Saturday, Feb. 10, Mayor Steinberg will hold a town hall at 10 a.m. at Grant Union High School, 1400 Grand Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95838, where residents can receive updates on important City business. Leaders from key City departments will also be in attendance to answer questions.

“Over my decades in public office I’ve worked with many strong community members in District 2, and in the past few weeks I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many more,” Mayor Steinberg said. “I’m so impressed by the hard work, creativity and care that these residents are expending to improve the cleanliness of the neighborhood, help their unhoused neighbors and empower young people.”

The Mayor’s office is working to address local priorities like improving representative engagement on funding opportunities, addressing code enforcement challenges and investing in infrastructure, youth programs and other resources. To learn more please visit: Here
