Mayor Steinberg to join community in marching against gun violence

Friends-

On Sunday, April 10, I will be joining members of our community as we march in memory of those who have been affected by gun violence in Sacramento, and as we pledge to end it. The march is organized by Berry Accius, the leader of a community-based mentoring program called Voice of the Youth.

Please join us in responding to last weekend’s terrible events with love and a commitment to comfort the suffering and elevate and enhance our efforts to provide more hope and opportunity for young people.  The march starts at 11 a.m. at Ali Youssefi Square, 7th and K streets. Meet at 10:30 a.m.

If you or someone you love has been affected by last week’s shooting, or gun violence in general, please visit my website, Engagesac.org, to find resources on where to get help.
