Join the City’s Water Conservation Team for a conversation on the region's response to drought and climate change
Amid continuing severe drought conditions across the state, regional leaders are planning for the future of water in Sacramento.
On Tuesday October 19th at 12:00pm, watch as a panel of experts discuss how regional organizations are working together on projects that will make the Sacramento region more resilient to drought and climate change, including long-range planning and river habitat restorations.
“Climate change is truly the existential crisis of our time,” said Mayor Darrell Steinberg. “Not only do we have to make sweeping changes like eliminating fossil fuels but we must all make small changes as well, like being more responsible with our water use.”
Moderated by Roshini Das, Sustainability Manager for the City of Sacramento Department of Utilities, the panel will include Jessica Law, Executive Director of the Sacramento Water Forum, Ryan Ojakian, Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Manager of the Regional Water Authority, and Brett Ewart, Senior Engineer and Long-Range Planner for the City of Sacramento Department of Utilities. To submit your questions panelists may answer during the webinar, email waterconservation@cityofsacramento.org.
