Mayor Steinberg and Secretary Padilla Celebrate New Ways to Vote in Sacramento County
On May 7th, ballots were mailed to all Sacramento County Voters, launching the first election season under the new Vote Center model of voting, authorized under the Voters Choice Act (VCA).
On May 10th, California Secretary of State Alex Padilla joined Mayor Steinberg and leaders Hmong Innovating Politics (HIP), Greater Sacramento Urban League, Greater Sacramento NAACP, Sacramento League of Women Voters, Sacramento Public Library and the Sacramento County Board of Education and Registrar's Office at a press conference to highlight important changes to how we hold elections under the VCA.
