Watering allowed just one day a week starting Monday, November 1

As we approach cooler weather lawns will retain more moisture and require much less water. Starting Monday November, 1st and through February 29th, residents and businesses in the City of Sacramento will be allowed to water one day per week, on either Saturday or Sunday, at any time of day. No weekday watering will be permitted, and people are strongly encouraged to turn off sprinklers completely during the fall/winter season.

While last week’s storm brought much needed rainfall to the region it was not enough to end California’s epic drought. Due to continued drought conditions, a 'Water Alert' is still in effect for the City of Sacramento asking customers to voluntarily reduce their water use by 15%.
