Sacramento, CA (March 25 , 2024) – For the month of March, the Mayor’s Gallery is featuring “Dragon Ride,” a photograph by Bobby Horiuchi.

After studying filmmaking and photography in college, Bobby Horiuchi made a career in the construction trades but never lost his love for photography.

As he transitioned into retirement, Horiuchi pursued his photography with renewed focus and started entering shows. His hard work paid off when he was accepted into The Crocker Kingsley Show, one of the most prestigious art shows in Northern California, and became a regular contributor to the esteemed KVIE Art Auction.

Drawing from his construction background and artistic flair, Horiuchi also began crafting unique tables, doors, and cradles. Several of his creations have been featured at the California State Fair, showcasing his diverse talents as both a photographer and artisan.
