Governor's homeless task force recommends ballot initiative requiring government action

On Monday, Jan. 13, the Governor’s Council on Regional Homeless Advisors issued a series of recommendations, including that the Legislature place a constitutional amendment on the ballot in 2020 to require local and state governments to make demonstrable progress in housing the 93,000 people living on California’s streets.
