What will Sacramento's I Street Bridge replacement look like? You can help decide

The Sacramento River will soon get its first major new bridge in many years, and you can weigh in on what it should look like. Sacramento and West Sacramento area asking for community input on the design of the bridge that will take car traffic off the I Street Bridge, which was built in 1911. and now serves both trains and cars. Watch the video below and then head to http://www.ibridgedesign.com/ to take a short survey on the designs provided in the video. The survey closes on April 18.

A detailed account of the entire process of replacing the I Street bridge can be found here on the City of Sacramento’s website. The conversion of the upper deck of the existing I Street bridge into a pedestrian thoroughfare is a separate project which recently held its first big community input session during the I Street Bridge Lantern Festival.
