Chip the Chihuahua is City Hall Pet of the Month
Meet the first City Hall Pet of the Month of 2019, Chip the Chihuahua!
Chip was found as a stray, so unfortunately we don’t have a lot of information about his history. Staff at the Front Street Shelter thinks he’s about a year and a half old, even though he’s got some white hairs on his snout that make him look older.
Chip got his name because one of our interns thought the brown markings around his eyes made him look like a chocolate chip cookie, so we went with Chip! At the shelter he’s very quiet and timid. He’s in a kennel with five other bouncy and loud small dogs which seem to overwhelm him. He will make a great lap dog!
He was neutered last week and is up to date on all vaccines, so he’s ready to go home now! His animal ID is #570454. And as always, all City Hall Pet of the Month pets have all adoption fees waived!
