January 2018 - City Hall Pet of the Month: Wilbur

The City of Sacramento has started a new Pet of the Month program at City Hall to help animals at our shelter get adopted! The first was Wilbur, who was sad and unenthusiastic in his kennel after a month without being adopted. His trip to City Hall, where he got to meet Mayor Darrell Steinberg, Vice Mayor Steve Hansen, Councilmember Larry Carr and Councilmember Jay Schenirer, really lifted his spirits and gave him renewed confidence. Just days after his field trip, he was adopted!
